which is formed today from the merger of AUT and NATFHE.
it's a wise merger.
but somehow
i'm going to miss
AUT.

btw. today is also about raising awareness around the current dispute. many staff are facing severe pay cuts and UCU is calling for public support.

He has joined the protest march today...I wish you all the success in the world.

the next month will be interesting; UCEA claiming this is their 'last, best and final offer', like the two last offers we've had, i guess (but who's counting?)
UCU need to generalise the action though, as it is falling primarily on academic staff at the moment, with academic-related staff on the sidelines going, 'yeah. okay. i can boycott staff appraisals...er...is that it?'
