it's the kinda rain i can cope with, though :-)

i grew up in the NW and it was like Blade Runner, without any of the interesting bits; it rained and rained and rained and rained. year in year out. wonder where all the water went?

I lived in Manchester for eight years, I know your pain. Now, in Amsterdam I'm surrounded by water AND the weather sucks.

Great, eh? I really love it. In fact, sat here typing I'm still damp from an earlier soaking. But I'm not complaining. No way. Well, apart from the fact I can't find a towel.

i dunno what the farmers have been doing round here (Suffolk)... but the birds have been going mad trying to get worms out of the hard ground, scratching and digging...our lawn looked like it had had a elite squad of attack pigeons on it...

Of course it's raining - it's a Bank Holiday! I'm actually soaked to the skin, as I had to come in to Goldsmiths to do some work (which I'm not doing, thought I'd read the blogs first...!!). But I'm far from complaining, because my garden needs the rain, and I don't have to water it!
