an idea for a story....
one of the real delights of taking an OU course, is access to the OU's online library, which includes an electronic version of the OED. i've been enjoying reading it [yes, i admit, i read dictionaries], and was very struck with the definition of 'infatuation'.

We read dictionaries in a totally unashamed fashion in this household... it's probably a very good job we don't have access to the OED on line, we get quite side-tracked enough with the Oxford Reference Dictionary.
Which failed us this evening when we were looking for St Guthlac!
:-) ...i also get access to some super 18thC digitised collections too, it's such a treat.

I'd found some stuff in the on-line Catholic Encyclopedia about Guthlac, but hadn't found the Croyland Abbey information. It is a lovely one, isn't it?
